The Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre at NAIT is providing Indigenous-designed stoles for Indigenous students participating in convocation ceremonies.
Camille Louis, Manager of Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre programs and services at NAIT, tells CFWE the stoles project has been years in the making and is designed to celebrate the success of Indigenous graduates.
Louis adds that the stoles are about representation and celebrated at NAIT, while honoring and respecting the culture.
Travis Masyk, Graphic Designer with NAIT Marketing and Communications, highlights the design, adding that the stoles give graduates a meaningful way to celebrate their culture, identity, and achievements while marking a major milestone in their educational journey.
