RCMP in Northern Alberta have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of attempted murder.
Mounties were called to Kapawe’no First Nation after reports of two people firing shots at one another in a local cul-de-sac Wednesday evening. One person was struck and collapsed nearby while the other drove off.
A handgun used to shoot the injured man, who was brought to hospital with life-threatening injuries, was recovered. Investigators learned it was modified for automatic fire and holding 33 rounds. The serial number was tampered with.
35 year old Lucas Zane Auger of Driftpile Alta., is now facing charges including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited and possession of a weapon without a licence.
