The Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta (ISCA), alongside elders and community members, will gather at City Hall on May 14 for the annual Moose Hide Campaign Day, standing in ceremony and solidarity to help end violence against women and children.
Taylor McPherson, Sports Program Coordinator with the Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta, tells CFWE the day will bring ceremony and awareness and cultural performances, with a stance against violence against women and children.
McPherson adds that it’s heartwarming bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members in a place of conversation and support towards ending violence that occurs against women and children while donning the Moose Hide pin.
