The Alberta RCMP, Samson Chief Vern Saddleback, and the Alberta Crime Stoppers have launched a new Rural Sign Campaign, unveiling the first sign in Maskwacis.
The campaign started 3 months ago by Constable Catlin Chiasson.
Chiasson says that this new initiative was needed in Maskwacis and surrounding area by making the community feel safer.
Programs like the Rural Sign Campaign empower residents to take an active role in crime prevention, ensuring that “what they see”, “what they hear” and “what they know” can be shared through anonymous tips.
