With spring just around the corner, wildfire season comes right along with it, and we have to start being cautious with flammables out in Alberta’s forests.
Melissa Story, Provincial Information Officer with Alberta Wildfire, spoke with Windspeaker Radio Network about how wildfire season is quickly approaching, despite the cold weather we’ve been dealing with recently.

Wildfires aren’t anything to mess around with, and Story has a list of ways to best prevent a wildfire from starting artificially.

Alberta has a very vast terrain, and wildfires in this province aren’t just limited to the lush forests. Grass fires are just as easy to start and are just as dangerous as forest wildfires. Story has ways to prevent grass fires as well.
