More than 40 plains bison were carefully loaded onto transport trucks at Elk Island National Park as part of an ongoing efforts that supports bison conservation at home and abroad.
Dale Kirkland, Superintendent of Elk Island National Park tells CFWE the relocation brings a strong sense of purpose while advancing bison restoration efforts.

Kirkland says that more than 40 bison calfs, aged two years and younger are part of a fourth transfer to Alaska, supporting restoration efforts across northern landscapes.
