Youth from across the region are in Fox Lake this week for the ‘Healing Through Connections’ Youth Conference from March 9 – 13, featuring workshops on culture, mental health, and leadership at the JBS School.
Tina Seeseequon, Assistant Director with Mamawi Awasis Society, tells CFWE youth can expect a range of workshops that’ll include beading & sewing, Youth empowerment, cultural teachings and more.
Seeseequon adds that the youth conference works together in connecting youth from surrounding communities such as John D’Or, and Garden River, creating a safe space for healing and growth.
