The Bonnyville Friendship Centre’s winter festival is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. A highlight of the event is the indigenous market, featuring 33 tables set up inside the centre. Attendees can find a wide variety of items, including 3D-printed items, beaded shirts, moccasins, and much more.
Rebekah Gobert, Youth Management Lead at the centre, tells CFWE that this will be the biggest market they have had.
Gobert explained that they initiated the winter festival during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to allow people to gather outdoors.
