Drake Milligan started out as an Elvis Presley impersonator after seeing someone impersonating the icon at a restaurant with his parents. Through the years of becoming Elvis, it landed him the role of Elvis Presley on the series, Sun Records, and the film Nobody where he portrayed a young teenaged Elvis.
Milligan says that he has found similarities throughout himself and Elvis, and finds himself following in his footsteps through his own country music career.
Back in 2022, his band appeared on America’s Got Talent where they performed his original song, Sounds Like Something I’d Do, and finished in 3rd place.
Now signed to BBR Music Group, he’s won a CCMA Award for Musical Collaboration of the Year in 2024 for “Honky Tonkin’ About” with The Reklaws, has performed with Canadian icon Shania Twain, and will now be going on his own world tour.
Brooklin spoke with Drake about his early years as a musician, travelling overseas to perform, and what you can expect during his performance at Ranchmans on Feb. 27 in Calgary
