The City of Red Deer will open a new overnight warming space on February 9. This temporary facility will provide overnight safety, warmth, food, and basic medical support until the end of March.
Mayor Cindy Jeffries tells CFWE that the shelter will have the capacity to accommodate approximately 40 to 50 people.
The shelter is located at 5239-53 Avenue and is operated by Shining Mountains Living Community Services.
