On February 4, Maskwacis RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Louise Bull First Nation.
Upon arrival, police located two victims. Mounties say one of the victims, 23 year-old Zyon Littlepoplar, was deceased. Police say the second victim, a 54-year-old male, was taken to hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Officers located an abandoned vehicle nearby believed to be associated to the suspects. RCMP Air Services, a Police Dog, and the Emergency Response Team were deployed to assist. RCMP issued a shelter in place for Louis Bull First Nation to protect the public while police tracked these purported dangerous armed suspects.
RCMP have charged 27-year-old Edmonton resident, Dallas Daniel Lee with Second-Degree-Murder & Attempted Murder.
Lee was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.
