It’s Groundhog Day, and Balzac Billy is out! The Alberta groundhog appeared this morning in Airdie to predict an early Spring – or six more weeks of winter across the province.
Lorenza Morden, from Bluegrass Nursery tells CFWE Balzac Billy emerged from his burrow hoping for an early Spring – but predicted six more weeks of winter snow.
Morden adds it’s wonderful to see families and kids enjoying the event and connecting with Balzac Billy on the early morning of Groundhog Day.
