The grand opening for the new Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre took place on Friday, January 30, although the centre opened on January 27.
Brad Badger, the Director of Physical Activity and Sports Centres for the city, tells CFWE that he was excited open up the 6th largest recreation centre in Edmonton.

The centre features a 250-meter velodrome, making Edmonton the third city in the country to have one.
