Red Earth RCMP recover over $50,000 in Stolen Property, two charged

Red Earth Creek RCMP say more than $50,000 in stolen property has been recovered following the execution of a search warrant in Peerless Lake First Nation.

Police say the warrant was carried out on Jan. 15 as part of an ongoing investigation, with a motorhome and a quad among the items recovered. Two Slave Lake residents, a 33-year-old woman, have been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Both were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice at a later date.
