The Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection Organization has its Try-It Free Winter Sport Day coming up on January 17. The event is for kids aged 6-17 to try out different activities throughout the Grande Prairie region.
Heather Llewellyn, Executive Director of the organization, tells CFWE the event has been going on for about 10 years, and one is held in the winter, and one is held in the summer.
Llewellyn said sports for the winter event will include skiing, snowboarding, speed skating, and other winter sports. Parents can register their kids at gpsportconnect.ca.
