After a five-year hiatus, the popular winter event returns to Edmonton this season. Ice Castles will transform Fan Park downtown Edmonton into a dazzling land of ice and fun happening December 27, 2025.
Guests will enjoy a world of frozen tunnels, archways, and caverns spark the imagination. The one-acre playgrounds will feature towers, slides, fountains, and caves—all sculpted entirely from ice—that come alive at night with color-changing, LED lights glowing from within the walls.
There are 20 ice artisans that spent several weeks building the experience using icicles that grow, harvest, and hand-place one-by-one. Ice Castles will open until February or early March, 2026.
