Horse Lake First Nation will be hosting a Red Road Dance at the Lymburn Hall in Lymburn Wednesday night. The event is to honor those in the organization who have been sober for 30 days or more.
Mercedes Mwemera, Addictions and Substance Abuse Worker for Horse Lake tells CFWE, they currently have 35 members who have been sober within that time frame.
The night will include a dinner followed by a dance and awards to recognize the members. Mwemera adds it is important to encourage positivity to the sober individuals and find healthy ways to main that sobriety.
