Hope Mission is preparing to serve Edmonton’s most vulnerable with its annual Christmas Banquet on December 12 – the second of four planned holiday meals.
Brenton Driedger, spokesperson from Hope Mission Edmonton tells CFWE the banquets help spread Christmas cheer by serving a hearty roast dinner to 800 guests.
Driedger says it’s heartwarming to see the Christmas spirit, even as it’s difficult to witness how many are struggling. He adds that hope often begins with a meal, which can be the first step toward connecting people with the supports Hope Mission offers.
