The Centre of Hope has issued an urgent call for gently used winter clothing donations to support people experiencing homelessness in Fort McMurray.
Schelly Mar Downer, team lead at the Centre of Hope drop-in tells CFWE each winter the Centre of Hope relies on community donations, especially without dedicated funding to meet the high demand.
Downer says the most-needed items include gently used jackets, winter gloves, and other winter clothing.
Downer adds that the community always responds when a call out is made, and every donated item given is helping keep someone warm through the harsh winter months in Fort McMurray.
