Esquao conference aims to inspire and empower youth and young adults preparing them with the confidence and enthusiasm to enter or re-enter the workforce. Indigenous women thrive as beautiful leaders, breaking down barriers for future generations. Featuring strong Indigenous women and leaders, including Elders, Knowledge Keepers, Esquao Award winners, and program participants.
The conference wraps up Thursday at the Orange HUB in Edmonton.
Founded back in 1994 by Muriel Stanley Venne, the organization strives to empower all Indigenous peoples in the reinforcement and rediscovery of their language, culture, and spiritual practices.
