Mounties in Maskwacis snared multiple illegal weapons while investigating a drug trafficking ring last week.
On October 14, Maskwacis RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Ermineskin Cree Nation as the result of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Officers recovered two illegally owned firearms, two illegally owned crossbows, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
RCMP have charged 39 year old Maskwacis resident Shane Wolfe with two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, five counts of weapons possession contrary to order and unsafe storage of a firearm.
