RCMP officers from the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit and High Prairie RCMP executed a search warrant at a property in Peavine after finding a large of stolen vehicles and firearms.
They found four stolen pickup trucks, a stolen dirt bike, a stolen ATV, three flat deck trailers with removed vehicle ID numbers, four unlawfully possessed firearms, ammunition, and tools for cutting and stripping copper wire.
While on scene, 45 year oldSheldon Sinclair arrived at the property but fled the scene.
Mounties have since gotten a warrant for his arrest on multiple charges, including flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with a release order, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (two counts), possession of property obtained by crime equal to or less than $5,000 (four counts), unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm (four counts), and obstructing police.
