Mounties have taken what appears to be amphetamines off the streets in Dixonville and have issued a warning in the Peace Region.
RCMP say they were on the lookout in the area on September 18th for a suspicious vehicle that had been called in, when they saw a truck without a matching plate. It’s said the vehicle was stolen from a place in Mackenzie County last month.
Police say a search of the vehicle lead to the seizure of what looks like approximately 487 grams of suspected Amphetamine in crystal form, 17.2 grams of suspected Amphetamine made to look like small pink, purple and blue beads and approximately 23.6 grams of suspected Amphetamine, in crystal form hidden inside of shotgun shells.
Mounties ask that the public stays aware if they find any items that look similar, especially given how some looks like beads one would use for crafts or that a child may play.
Police also seized a gun, ammunition, suspected bottles of GHB, tools, and assorted jewelry.
