A 59 year old man is facing charges, after a hit and run on the Fort Chipewyan First Nation,, September 6.
Just after 9pm, RCMP responded to a crash scene on Wylie Avenue. According to police, a pick up and off-road vehicle crashed, with the truck speeding away right after.
The driver of the off-road vehicle was taken to hospital with what are described as non life threatening injuries.
Police found the driver of the pick up a short time later and was arrested. He is facing charges of failing to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm, careless driving, and operating a vehicle without adequate brakes.
He is scheduled to make his next appearance in Fort Chipewyan court on October 3rd.
