Mounties have laid arson charges for a 20 year old woman on the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, about 275 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.
Wood Buffalo RCMP say police and firefighters were called to two house fires on September 3 at around 12:30 in the afternoon. One home was deemed a loss and the other had significant damage. There were no reported injuries as no one was in either home.
Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested a suspect at the scene. Judith Janvier of the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation has been charged with two counts of arson and one count of breaking and entering. She has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Fort McMurray Court of Justice on September 24.
