
International Women's Day at Fort Edmonton Park's Indigenous Peoples Experience
Fort Edmonton Park’s Indigenous People’s Experience will mark International Women’s Day with a two-day celebration honoring the strength, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous women. The event will feature cultural performances, storytelling, workshops, and discussions highlighting the vital role of Indigenous women in their communities.
Pam Greene, Cultural Liaison for the Indigenous Peoples Experience at Fort Edmonton Park spoke with CFWE on their plans and the name of the event miyomahcihowak iskwēwak ōki which translates in Cree to ‘(They) Women are in good health.
