The Ahkameyimok Oskayak Youth Conference is kicking off day 1 inside the Bold Centre for February 13-14 presented by the Opikihawasowin Tribal Chief Children Family Services West Society to motivate the youth from Whitefish Lake, Beaver Lake and Heart Lake Cree Nation, that’ll feature guest speakers ‘Smudge The Blades’ founder Harlon Kingfisher and UFC Hall of Famer George St Pierre.
Elaine Fox, co-organizer of the Ahkameyimok Oskayak Youth Conference from Beaver Lake Cree Nation spoke with CFWE on her excitement on day one of their first-ever youth conference inside the Bold Centre.

Georgette Dion, prevention coordinator for the Mamowe Opikihawasowin Tribal Chief Children Family Services West Society says seeing the community coming out and supporting the youth is becoming reality, with several workshops in store focusing on mental health, addictions, cultural awareness, and hockey with Harlon Kingfisher.
