One person is dead following a fatal motor vehicle collision in Sturgeon County.
On Feb. 5, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Morinville RCMP responded to a serious two motor vehicle collision at the corner of Highway 633 and Range Road 27.
The driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, a 29-year-old resident of Spruce Grove, was taken by EMS to hospital however died of their injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Mounties remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle driven by the deceased failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by another SUV.
This investigation is ongoing.
