A new Indigenous art exhibit at the Mitchell Art Gallery in Edmonton explores reconnection with family and culture through relationships with land, water, and language.
Artist Sydney Pascal is a member of the Lil’wat Nation in BC and creates works that look at ways land-based practices support healing, reclaiming relationships, and affirming cultural identity.

The i dream of you gallery, through short films and animal hides, shares Pascal’s personal story of balancing loss and reclamation as she processes the intergenerational impacts of child apprehension on her grandmother, mother and family.
Those interested can explore the gallery free of charge Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. until March 29th.
