On January 15, Regional Emergency Services firefighters in Fort McMurray responded to an apartment building fire in Thickwood at 421 Ross Haven Drive.
The fire was reported before 11 a.m.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, and all residents from the 43-unit building were evacuated safely.
The apartment unit where the fire started was significantly damaged.
Residents looking for information on returning should contact the building property manager at 780-972-7368. Most residents will be able to return home as soon as it is safe to do so.
A temporary warming centre was established at the Thickwood Salvation Army building on 125 Elmore Dr.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
