MOTCCFW Round Dance
The Mamowe Opikihawasowin Tribal Chiefs and Family Services (MOTCCFS) Annual Round Dance is set to take place at the Beaver Lake Cree Nation Community Hall.
Judy McGilvery, Case Work Supervisor with Mamowe Opikihawasowin Tribal Chiefs and Family Services spoke with CFWE on the staff’s excitement about the upcoming Round Dance that will feature a feast at 4 PM.
While cooking for the Round Dance Feast, McGilvery adds that a pipe ceremony will also take place ahead of the Round Dance that attendees are welcome to participate in, with three participating nations that will include Beaver Lake, Heart Lake, and Goodfish Lake.
McGilvery is hopeful that community members can take away blessings, adding that every day is a gift to be alive and to see the blessings of another day.
