The Edmonton Elks announced they’ll be extending one of the most explosive players in the league, Javon Leake to a two year contract extension.
In his expanded role, Leake set career highs in carries (102), rushing yards (661), rushing touchdowns (6), receptions (34), receiving yards (301), and receiving touchdowns (1). Leake was also named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player.
Leake will hope to carry his momentum from his last game to this year where he recorded 128 yards on just eight carries including 3 plays of 65 yards or longer.
