Red Deer Food Bank holds online auction for holiday support

The Red Deer Food Bank is inviting residents to take advantage of its online holiday auction, an opportunity to support the organization, while also getting an early present for someone in your life.

The auction features 80 donated items including gift cards for grocers, restaurants and a range of services, household items, and experiences around Red Deer.

Bidding closes at 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 1.

The food bank serves nearly 30,000 people with emergency food hampers each year, and as the holidays approach, officials with the Red Deer Food Bank say need is high right now and the system is reaching its limit.
