Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre
Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre is set to host their annual Christmas Sale to provide affordable Christmas decorations for families in the community from November 20-21.
Barb Courtorielle, executive director of the Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre spoke with CFWE on her excitement on the upcoming sale, as families can purchase donated decorations at a low price inside the Friendship Centre Hall.
Courtorielle adds that all the proceeds go towards their fundraising account that supports the community for houseless members and the seniors Christmas party.
Courtorielle says when seeing community members at the Christmas Sale, it brings back memories as a single mother purchasing donated items to create the Christmas spirit in her home.
Courtorielle goes on to say that the event is also about community connecting with one another with the Christmas cheer vibrant from the clients to the staff at the Friendship Centre.
