Two suspects were arrested after police were called to an oilfield lease at two in the morning on October 16th regarding an alleged break and enter in progress.
When Mounties got there, they found the suspects of the reported break and enter. The two people were found to be in possession of tools and drugs, according to information from RCMP.
“They had also packed their vehicle with a large quantity of copper wire from the site,” according to RCMP.
40-year-old Brent Perdonic of Cold Lake and 48-year old Patti Wheatonof Cold Lake were both charged with possession of stolen property, mischief/damage to property over $5,000, possession of break-in tools, possession of methamphetamine and identity fraud.
Perdonic was also charged with operating a vehicle without a licence.
A bail hearing was held and a Justice of the Peace released both accused. Their first appearance in court is scheduled for November 19.
