Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating after a teepee canvas was purposefully damaged.
The teepee was located at the front of Elsie Yanick Catholic School at 331 Callen Drive in Fort McMurray and sustained damage. This damage included visible holes cut into the canvas, broken poles and the pegs were all removed.
A review of surveillance was conducted and it was observed that on Oct. 11, 2024 at 9:42 p.m., two suspects approached the school. The suspects, riding on scooters and wearing masks, then committed damage to the teepee.
Police obtained a surveillance photo of the suspects.
