Six Chinook’s Edge students are ready to take to the skies as they engage in flight with a career path in aviation, which became open to Grade 11 and 12 students last spring.
Chinook’s Edge School Division and Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools – partners through the Central Alberta Collegiate Institute (CACI) – are partnering with Sky Wings Aviation.
In April of this year, both divisions selected six youth to participate in the aviation ground school program, totaling 12 students. The program is a success, and the school divisions decided to offer two more sessions in the 2024-25 school year, with one session in each semester.
The current session began October 8th and will wrap up on October 26th.
