Join the Boyle Street Community Services for a night of celebration, culture, and community at their annual Round Dance to honor Indigenous traditions, dance and support those in need on September 20th at Churchill Square.
Lonny Potts, director at Boyle Street Community Services says the round dance is meaningful in a lot of ways, following the closure of the old location calling it a new start to new beginnings to new partners and relationships at the round dance.
Potts adds that the round dance is aimed towards lifting the spirits within the staff at Boyle Street Community Services as well as to rejuvenate the self-care of the staff and attendees of the round dance.
Potts says the one thing that stands out to him is how Boyle Street focuses on community members that are in need of backpacks and supplies, along with preparations that goes into the event with an Indigenous led focus towards the Round Dance.
