The Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre hosted their annual Cultural Day event in Edmonton, where community member and Elders gathered together celebrating Indigenous culture, heritage and traditions.
Deborah Rose, executive director of the Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre says there’s a lot of high energy and excitement amongst the Elders, with activities throughout the two day event.

Rose adds that the importance at the Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre is to honor the importance of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples with celebrating the culture, food, music and activities throughout the Cultural Day celebrations.

Rose says that people are taking away friendship with community engagement, warm stomachs and spirits lifted up from the celebrations of the Cultural Days at the Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre.
