Late last week, Wood Buffalo RCMP received complaints related to threats made on various social media platforms from concerned citizens nationwide.
According to Mounties, these threats concerned direct violence towards schools, thought to happen next year.
After investigating, Wood Buffalo have laid charges against 19-year-old Zander Jacobs with uttering threats.
Jacobs was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with conditions. He is scheduled for court on October 2nd, 2024 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort McMurray.
