From August 19th-22nd, Alexander First Nation is hosting their Treaty Week Celebrations, along with hosting their 32 Annual Health Fair that provides community members with Alexander First Nation services they can access within their community.
Marlene Arcand, Director of the Health Fair for Treaty Week speaks with CFWE on how the Health Fair started 3 decades ago and sharing information on programs and services that Alexander Members can use, along with requesting needed items such as a new walker, wheelchair and doctor services.
Arcand says with over 100 staff members in attendance and the services that are present at the Health Fair that include a 24 hour continuing care for seniors, Headstart and Jordan’s Principle and newly opened detox facility.
Arcand is hopeful that members of Alexander First Nation inquire about the many services available, and to share the information to members of Alexander First Nation.
