The Edmonton Elks quarterbacks carousel continues with McLeod Bethel-Thompson stepping in for a spot start after Tre Ford’s injury last week.
Ford started the last two games for Edmonton resulting in their only two wins of the season, however hurt his shoulder during his start against the Lions.
In Sunday’s victory over the Lions, Bethel-Thompson completed 14 of 18 passes for 171 yards while throwing for a touchdown and an interception after replacing Ford, who had gone six-for-six passing for 96 yards, in the second quarter.
Bethel-Thompson has thrown for 1,959 yards, 10 TD’s and 9 INT’s this season.
Edmonton (2-7) will travel to Hamilton (2-7) on Saturday to see if they can secure their third straight victory.
