From August 13-15, The Achimowin Opaspiw Society is hosting a two-day Culture Camp at Elk Island National Park, teaching the language and cultural traditions such as Moose Hide Tanning, preparing fish and medicine picking.
Neil Redcrow is the lead organizer of the Culture Camp. He tells CFWE that feedback from the community has been amazing.
The event is free to attend with many activities taking place, including drum making workshops, hide tanning and language workshops with Elders.
Redcrow says a highlight has been Elders & Youth coming together, participating with the traditions and workshops offered.
