After going winless in their first seven games, the Edmonton Elks have secured two straight victories after defeating the BC Lions 33-16.
The Elks are now 2-7 on the season, it was their first win at home this season and their 3rd home win since October 26th 2019.
Elks Head Coach Jarious Jackson spoke to the media following the rare home victory.
Elks quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who came in for starter Tre Ford when he left with what appears to be a rib injury late in the first half. MBT went 14/18 with 171 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception, spoke to media about having to replace Ford in the second half.
The Edmonton Elks will travel to the steel city for a rematch against the Hamilton Tigercats (2-7) on Saturday.
