Playoff baseball is coming to Edmonton for the first time. The Edmonton Riverhawks punched their ticket to the West Coast League playoffs for the first time in franchise history on Monday.
After defeating the Nanaimo NightOwls on Monday 15-4 the Edmonton Riverhawks clinched their spot in the WCL playoffs.
The Riverhawks still have two games remaining in the 2024 season before playoffs start. Both games are against the Nanaimo NightOwls at 7:05 p.m.
The West Coast League playoffs begin on Saturday with the championship game taking place next weekend. There are no confirmed dates or times for potential home playoff games as the divisional series is set to begin on Saturday, August 10.
The lower seed will host game one and the higher seed will host games two and three on August 11 and 12.
Ticket details will be announced once playoff matchups and dates are finalized.
