The First Nations Health Consortium (FNHC) held it’s 3rd Annual Teepee Youth Summit at the North East River Valley from July 29-31.

Houle says she’s proud to be a part of the Teepee Youth Summit as the even helps to empower the youth with creating more opportunities for them to grow.

Houle is hopeful that the youth attendees will take back what they learned at the youth summit as tools to grow and pass on within their home communities to build up future generations.
One of the guest speakers at the FNHC Teepee Youth Summit Olivia Latridis spoke along side her mother and co-author Gloria, says speaking at the Youth Summit was a way to uplift and encourage the youth to pursue the world of acting.

Gloria Latridis, mother of Olivia and co-author for the book titled ‘Booked’ which speaks on their journey of her and Olivia going through the process of getting acting roles, as she goes on to speak on how proud she is of her daughter, and adds that by sharing it with the youth is more special at the Teepee Youth Summit.

Olivia says she’s hopeful that the youth can take away what they learned from Olivia’s experiences and pursue the world of acting and putting together audition tapes for shows and movies.
