Earlier on the morning of July 19, many hospitals, banks, flights and lines of communication were disrupted as an update to cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.
In the cities of Edmonton and Calgary both have experienced issues with emergency contact lines.
Edmonton 911 lines where experiencing glitches but where fully restored by 7 a.m. while Calgary’s 311 wasn’t fully restored until 10 a.m.
On social media both YYC and YEG international Airports are advising all travelers to contact their airline directly for all information.

Travelers delayed by Porter Airlines won’t be able to connect with an agent about their flight until the mid afternoon as the airline won’t have access to any information until systems are back up and running.
WestJet and Air Canada haven’t reported any major disruptions to their flights but are currently experiencing long wait times on their phone service lines.
