A follow-up conducted after a May investigation has led to Red Deer’s ALERT team to seize more firearms, drugs and cash. The ALERT team alongside the Red Deer RCMP searched a vehicle and a home in the Pines neighborhood.
The search resulted in the seizure of five firearms, about $70,000 worth of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl as well as more than $5,500 in cash.
ALERT said none of the firearms were lawfully possessed and have been sent out for further research, with many serial numbers defaced.
Officers continued to target those suspects from the initial investigation which they said helped the team identify the second suspected drug stash location in the Pines neighbourhood.
