Two sex workers were violently assaulted on Saturday morning in Edmonton and police believe there may be more victims.
Police are describing the suspect as a “violent sexual predator” .
EPS says the man contacted both women through a website and “made arrangements to meet for sexual services.”
In the first incident, police say the suspect met a 30-year-old woman around 7 a.m. at a rental suite in central Edmonton, where he “violently attacked” her until she was unconscious, causing “significant injuries.”
Edmonton police believe the same man then met a 27-year-old woman at a south Edmonton hotel around 7:50 a.m. After the encounter, police allege the man violently attacked the woman until she was unconscious.
In both instances, the women regained consciousness to find their cash and cell phones had been stolen.
Investigators say the suspect left both scenes driving a white 2018 to 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Trendline.
