From the thundering ovation during the final goal horn in Game 6, which would advance the Edmonton Oilers to their first Stanley Cup run in 18 years, to the chants of “we want the cup”, which could be heard above the post game media interviews, making it difficult to hear. It leads to the question. Does Edmonton have the loudest fans in the league?

The honks of horns could be heard for hours following the game 6 victory over the Dallas Stars. Which leads us to the question. Just HOW loud ARE Edmonton fans and how do they compare to the rest of the league?

The decibel level reached 115, putting it on par with some of the loudest pro sports stadiums on the globe.
Although the first two games in the Stanley Cup Finals will see Edmonton on the road in Sunrise, Florida, Edmonton fans will have the opportunity to have their cheers heard all over the world for Games 3 and 4 which will return to Ice District in Rogers Place for the first time ever.
